A delicious start to the day

Good morning. The delicious smell of coffee and fresh pastries drifts through the air. Let your nose be your guide. A rich buffet of savoury and sweet specialities awaits you. Homemade jams and spreads, sausage products from the village butcher, bread from the baker or free-range eggs from happy Kastelruther chickens. Plus fresh fruit and on Sundays – why not? – some salmon and prosecco.

Regionality and quality are high on the menu during a dinner at Hotel Baumwirt. Our kitchen crew conjures up a 4-course menu for you every day. Almost everything, from the pasta to the dumplings and side dishes, is homemade. And as much as possible comes from ingredients from local producers. Special events such as the Tyrolean evening on Thursday, the gala dinner on Sunday or the barbecue evening on Friday in summer round off the culinary experience. And all of this with breathtaking views through the large panoramic windows of the dining room and the parlour.

Together with his team, Robert Zemmer creates lasting culinary holiday memories each day. As a fledgling of the host family, he learned early on to integrate nature into his thinking and working. He uses products from local producers as well as from the large herb and vegetable garden.

There is always time for cake

Apple strudel? Buckwheat cake? Or would you prefer a classic nut cake or a Linzer Schnitte? Three times a week, from 2 to 5 pm, a selection of homemade cakes & tarts is waiting to be tasted. Allow us to sweeten your afternoon.

But there is much more to it than that: it is also a meeting place for the whole village, for guests and especially for locals. At this meeting place there is always time for a chat about what is new, a glass of wine or a quick coffee.
