Hiking heaven

The Alpe di Siusi, the nearby Val Gardena valley as well as Castelrotto and San Michele have thousands of kilometres of hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. Many hiking trails connect the individual villages of our high plateau and pass directly by the hotel.

Cycle from sunrise to sunset

Put on your cycling shorts and helmet. And off you go! Whether mountain bike with or without electric motor, whether racing bike or downhill: A bike holiday at the Hotel Baumwirt is a well-rounded affair. Our area offers trails for everyone, from pleasure cyclists to sporty daredevils.

Our active programme

We have been offering our guests a varied summer activity programme for many years.
Every week there is:

5 guided excursions
5 guided e-bike tours (e-bike rental for a fee)
1 sunrise hike with breakfast at an alpine hut (breakfast at extra charge)

Culture, Cuisine & Shopping

There is plenty to do if you don´t fancy a sporty day. How about a stroll through Castelrotto, a leisurely aperitivo in the village square, a day trip to Bolzano or the towns of Bressanone or Chiusa? Numerous shops, museums and restaurants await you.

You just want to spend a day at the hotel? Here at the Baumwirt there is also plenty to do. Do you fancy a dip in the indoor-outdoor pool, a few SPA hours in the Wellness area or a yoga session in the wellness garden? And afterwards a glass of wine with the locals in the cosy house bar.
